Archiving

All of posts you put in blogger are stored in a database either archive is enable or not, if you enable archive, your postings will be accessible like web pages. you can archive your postngs monthwise, on weekly basis or daily bases.

Blog Formating

If you want to change the format of your blog go to Settings - Formating, first option is useful through which you can choose how much postings do you want to display on main screen of your blog.

Second option is used weither you want to show date and time of your postings.

Third option is used to choose your archive index style.

Fourth option is used to choose the time format of your posts.

Fifth option is used to select your time zone.

In this screen float alignment is used to align your text and images.

Post template is very useful, if you give codes and text in that box it will be appear each time when ever you can post.

Publish My Blog

If you want to publish your blog and registered it properly you can go to Settings - Publishing, from here you can Publish your blog, if you want to change the name of your current blog you can just visit to that area, but remember it will affect your daily traffic and you will tell your followers that you have new blog address otherwise they will not be able to access your blog.

When you will click on Custom Domain in Settings - Publishing, the above screen will be display here you can just give your domain name, you may first confirm it that is it available or not, you will be ask then to use the following credit cards, after paying your Domain will be registered.

DashBoard - Basic

Dashboard is used to mange your blogs, such as you can post, edit your blog templete, edit your profile, add your picture in your profile, you can apply for new adsense account from here, if you want to check your blog traffic you can see it from here. If you want to create new blog you will do it from dashboard, from settings you can do all settings of your blog such as you can change or edit the default settings of your postings, Comments, your blog layouts, apply for Adsense, you can check your blog trafic in details.

In settings the first option is Basic in which you can change the basic settings of your blog, in title you can give your blog title so that people can understand about your blog in first glance, the second option is Description in which you can give a brief description about your blog, so that your readers get an idea about your blog, and if they are interested they can move to read your remaining blog, its neccessary that you can give the description in such a way that you can attract people to stay at your blog.

The next option is add your blog in blogger listing which is used if you want to add your blog in bloggers list, you can also display your blog in your profile from here.

The next option is used if you want to restrict the search engines to display your blog in search engines.

When you are logged in and want to edit your postings easily then you can use that option and select yes .

Then next option is Email Postings is used if you allow your visitors to email your postings to other people, it means that they will email your postings after reading, if they like it and want to share with friends.

The next option is realy good feature of blogger through it if you want to add content about sex, anyone want to access your blog will be asked first about your blog, if they are agree to watch your blog then your blog will be open.

If you want to facilitate your readers to translate any word of your postings in their desired language so that they can understand your postings easily.

This is a good idea that you can Export your blog so that if you need it in future you can import it from your hard drive, the best feature of this option is that it will merge your postings with new one which will be sorted on date wise automatically.

Through Export blog you can export your blog on your hard drive, exporting blog does not mean that the blog is deleted from blogger, but its neccessary for your safety, in case your blog is damaged due to any reason.

If you want to delete your blog you can simply visit to Settings and in Basic you can delete your blog, blogspot will give you 90 days period in which you can restore your blog again, and you can use the same name for your restored blog using your current Id.

If you want to Undelete your blog simply goto Dashboard it will show you all blogs that you deleted already, just click on undelete to restore your blog.

Comment Settings

If you want to Change the settings of commenting goto Dashboard-Settings-Comments. you will find the above screen here you can choose the settings for comments, such as if you want to hide the comments you can do it with the first option Hide and show, remember that hide does not mean that it will delete your current comments posted in your blog but it will just hide the comments and later on you can show them again by selecting Show option.

Second option is useful when you want to bound your readers that they did not post comments with their proper Ids, if you want that any one can post a comment on your blog then you can choose first option, second option is for open Ids, thirds options is for user who have only google accounts, and  last one is very useful option through which you can allow only members of your own blog to post their comments.

Through 3rd option you can place your blog comments where you want to display on your blog, suppose if you want to display comments below each post, then select the last option "embedded below post"

If you want to link any page in your web site you can use the option Backlink, through Backlink you can link your page in any postings, related with it, you can also hide your link but it does not mean that it is deleted later on you can show it again in your postings.

Time stamp is used when you want that with every comment a time and date will appear on your blog, so that people can now how much the comments are old, comment moderation is use if you want that before displaying a comment a moderator can first read it and then allow it to show in his blog, this is very useful option if you want to save your blog from harm materials, when a moderator loggin in blog he sees a messange about comments and someone commented on blog, last option which required your email address, if you give your email in that area you will be informned through email.

If you want to reduce the Spam traffic to you blog, and want that spammers can comment less on your blog, then you can use word verification option, anyone who can post comment will be asked to first put showed words in the box, this option is not for blog Admins.

Last option is used if you want that a new comments will send to many emails, such as if a blog is mainted by more than one persons, the email will be send to all members of the blogs, there is a limit of upto 10 emails, and you can select emails from a Contacts.

Comments

Comment feature is one of the interesting features in blogs, you can comment on other blogs, suppose if you like a posting on any blog, you can post comments showing your likness, or you can post comments on other blogs, and add more knowledge which are omitted in their postings. In the above screen there are white area like text editor you can type your comments in that area, just below from it you can select one of the following id, suppose if you have an account in Gmail you can select google you can use gmail to signin, and after user name and password you can post your commnets, its possible that you can allow users to post in your blog without giving their ids.

If you want to handle the Comments posted in your blog, goto Dashboard, Comments and in Published you will see the above screen, here you can delete un-neccessary commnets, you can spam a comment, all comments posted on your blog will be display here and you can manage it from here easily.

The second option in Comments screen is Spam which will show you all comments which you marked as a Spam you can simply delete these comments, or un-Spam comments from here.

Posting in Blog

When you click on New postings the following screen will be appear, first option is Title so that you can give the heading to your text, in the second larger portion you can type your content, remember that your contents must be intereting and usefull so that your readers can visit again and attached with your blogs permanently, after typing your content you can change the size of fonts, and aslo the font style, Bold, Italic, and underline options are also available in posting screen, next options are text color and text background colors, through these options you can highlight your particular text, if you want to add a link of other web site for further details, you can give it through Link option, next two options are image and video, you can add videio and images related to your topics, so that your readers can understand easily, if you want to delete or resize your images and videos you can do it with these options. Next option is text alignment through this option you can align your text on left right or display your text in center of your screeen. Through Number list and bullet list you can numbered your text, if you want to remove all formats you applied on your text and want to show it as simple text you can do it through remove formating, next option is speel check, to check the spell of your postings, with the help of transliteration language you can change the language of text.

Labels are very important feature in your postings, you will label your text so that when someone search any words in search engines and search engince match your labels with that, it will show your blog on their search results, thus you can increase your blog traffic, its important that your labels must be related with your postings. and must be meaningfull.
Through Location you can show your location.

In the bottom of the Posting screen there are options such as you can allow your readers to post a comment about your postings, or you can just show the old comments and dont allow the readers to post new one, the third option is used when you want to stop new comments from readers and also hide the old commnets.

 the second option is use to schedule your postings, if you want  that your postings will appear on blog after five days you can mention date and time, next option is automatically, which will display your text promptly.

Last two options are use if you want to use line breaks or <BR/> tags.

Second option in Posting is Edit postings, this is very usefull feature, you can edit your postings later on, if you want to delete any post which is no more needed in your blog, from that screen you can see your old drafts and publish it when you want, you can import, schedule, and publish your postings from here.

How to login in Blogger

You must have Gmail account to signin in blogger, if you have an account then give your email and password and sign in simply, if you have no id in gmail then you can create it.

After signin you must give Blog title, after title give the blog name, in the above screen i named my blog "my first test blog" this is my blog name, you can check it through availability option that wheither someone else using that name or not, if it shows you that blog address is available in green color then its mean that no one can  use blog with the same name, in word verification area you must provide the codes displayed and then click on continue, if you have any disablitlity then you can use disability option to hear this code.

After successfuly naming your blog you can choose one of the following templetes listed above, remember that after creating your blog you can change your templete, layouts, colors and other settings at any time without destroy your postings. just click on templete and press Continue

When you select your templete and and press on Continue, the above screen will be display with the message that your blog has been created, you can start your postings at this time, or if you want to constomize your blog, then click on customization to change the layout, colors, background pictures, and colors etc.

The above screen is showing your management area, it will show you all blogs, you can change your profile, edit your profile, select and change your pictures, from that area etc.

The above picture shows my first blog,  in which i posted two post, it also shows the time when i posted, the author name, the blog archive with date wise, you can select more gadget and it will be display here, such as in this blog i choose to display my followers, the people who follow my blog.
